Workshops

Once a year the ensemble hosts, at the Darlington Arts Centre, a playing day open to all clarinet and saxophone players. The event has become popular and normally attracts around seventy five players, embracing the complete range of clarinets, from the soprano Eb to the contrabass and saxophones from sopranino to bass.

The day starts with everyone playing in a single reed orchestra and then participants choose to play in either clarinet or saxophone choirs. A master class is usually given by the guest tutors. The day concludes with a celebrity concert in the evening.

All players who have taken part in past playdays will receive an application form for this years event. To book for the playday you can telephone the Darlington Arts Centre box office 01 325 486 555. Booking will open early in 2010

If you would like further information please contact our Musical Director using the contact us page.
